Common problems should be noticed in new pigsty

The construction of pigsty is a key problem in the process of raising pigs. When we prepare to raise pigs, the first problem to be solved is how to choose the site and build the farm. Improper site selection, unreasonable piggery structure, etc., if not corrected in time, will bring losses to pig growth, pig health and economic benefits of pig farms. So we must pay attention to the following common problems when building new pigsty:
1. improper location
Piggery site selection should be as far as possible in high dry, sunny, windward, quiet places, away from breeding areas, factories and living areas, fewer people, clean water, and green belt isolation around conditional pig farms.
2. Overall Layout of Piggery
In order to manage conveniently and shorten the switching distance, we should take the delivery house as the center, the nursery is close to the delivery house, the pigsty is close to the nursery, the fattening pig house is next to the pigsty, and the pregnancy (breeding) house should also be close to the delivery house. In addition to considering all in and out and point feeding, anatomical rooms, pig disposal rooms, isolation houses, excrement disposal areas, maintenance and warehouses should also be provided. The production area and living area should be built in the windward area, more than 15 meters apart, and disinfection facilities should be set up between them. The production personnel should disinfect, bathe and change clothes before entering the production area.
3. Piggery Density
In order to save land and reduce investment, some pig farms are designed to be simple, dense and unable to carry out scientific and rational design and layout, resulting in a very large density of pigs. High density pig breeding has created extremely powerful conditions for environmental pollution, pathogenic biological pollution and mutual infection among pigs. The distance between pigsty is at least 8 meters, in which vegetation can be planted.
4. Pigsty is too short
Pig houses should not be too low or low, which is not conducive to air circulation. Harmful gases can easily lead to pig diseases. High temperature in pigsty is not conducive to cooling in summer. 5. Small non-fly-proof facilities for pigsty windows
Some pig farms have too few windows. The main problem is that summer is not conducive to indoor ventilation and cooling. Mosquitoes and flies can spread many diseases, so this must be taken into account when building pigsty. Conditional pig farms can also install protective nets to prevent birds from entering the farm to spread diseases. 6. Improper specification of feeding trough
The size of the feed should be determined according to the type of pig and the number of pigs. Piglet house if the trough is too large, some piglets like to drill into the trough, easy to cause pinch injury, pinch death phenomenon. The feeding trough of fattening pigs is too small, so that the pig's large pig will be stuck in the slot after feeding, causing injuries to the neck and ears.
7. Irrational Sewage Discharge
The sewage ditch should have enough gradient to facilitate the smooth outflow of sewage. Sewage outflow sequence should follow the principle of proximity, and do not let the sewage circle around the site. It is better to build a sewage treatment plant in order to make rational use of it and reduce environmental pollution.
